I was out trapping for clinic appointments and Mario found himself in one of my traps. The clinic said he was underweight probably from not being able to find food. After his neuter appointment he recuperated at my home. I realized he was not feral but extremely friendly and I could not put this adorable big boy back to the streets. I did notice that he was quite “food aggressive” so I could not let him eat around other cats. While on the streets he was probably having trouble finding food or fighting off other cats to eat. I told him that he would never have wonder where his next meal was coming from.
Mario was adopted but returned because he was too aggressive towards the other male cat in the household. Mario LOVES attention and eating so he probably felt threatened with the other cat in the household. We decided to advertise him as an ONLY CHILD that way he gets ALL the attention. He was adopted by a lovely lady whose whole world revolved around Mario, this was the perfect match.
